International Walk to School Day is an annual event that promotes walking for many reasons, including:
- Increase physical activity for parents and children,
- Improving your local community by making it safer to walk and bike,
- Reduction of traffic congestion, harmful pollutants and speed near schools, and
- Sharing time with other parents and children while creating a sense of community with neighbors.
